Every morning, Valérie has
the same ritual, mainly in her kitchen. Each movement she does is perfectly
organized in a strict timing. She always wakes up at 7.48 am, not one minute
later. At 7.50 am she switches the oven on and the coffee begins to sink. When
she opens one cupboard everything is perfectly tidy and arranged to the color
or the shape. She weighs her cereal. At 8.00 am, the bowl is put on the table.
So, once that is done, she can put two breads into the oven. 8.05 am: the
coffee is ready. She takes a spoon. Now the oven rings, she takes the breads
out and start her breakfast. At 8.11 am she goes to the toilet.
The days pass, the months
pass, and she clings to the same rituals.
But one day, she discovers
an abnormality in her perfect schedule. She finds a fork among the spoons in
the cupboard. It's not a big deal but for her it is. She is so surprised that
she drops her coffee, in which she slips and falls. In her way down, she bangs
her head against the table. Unfortunately the fork flies up and ends up stabbed
in her leg and later in the fish. With these disturbing and painful events, she
completely fails to keep up to her strict timing. In the end everything will
change.
To survive, she will have to
open up her mind and accept her new messy life.
